I'm an asian guy?

I love the awesome data engineering that OKCupid does.  Their blog rocks my socks off.  They always draw really interesting data points from their dating site.

Today they made a blog post in regards to race and gender and likes across the races and genders.

Looking through the different genders and races, apparently my likes most commonly match with asian men with white male coming in second.

Of course I'm not saying that this is an absolute proof I'm not very feminine, but I certainly cannot find any common interest with the females of OKcupid (regardless of their race).

YAY! New DragonAge DLC

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Dragon Age.  I have been since I got the chance to do the live broadcast for EA and Bioware demoing Dragon Age for fans.  I've had a huge love of this game and have never made my feelings secret about it and any of my involvements.

September 7th there will be a new Dragon Age DLC that will cover what happened to Morrigan after the end of Dragon Age origins. I won't give away any spoilers, but this just leads me to hope that there will be a DLC that covers Alistair.  Seriously, I'd like another chance to get my swurve on with him... I mean... NEVER MIND END OF BLOG POST!

Like a train wreck, you can't not watch

Seriously, I hate to make fun of some one directly in my blog and single them out.  However, I stumbled across this guy from fark.com.  His videos are much like a train wreck, you don't want to watch but you simply cannot take your eyes off.  I've only seen a couple of videos and I have come to the conclusion that either this man is a brilliant troll (and I've just been had) or he needs to separate himself from his digital life and seek some group therapy.

I suck at Todo lists, let's turn it into a game!

In the spirit of trying to do a blog post every day, I've decided to use something to remind me of doing this in a fun way.  I found an app today called "Epic Win." It's a todo list app that has a neat twist.  It turns completing your tasks into experience points!  Yeah it's a quasi game.  I think this is pretty awesome, but it's not completely as featured as I'd like.  I'd like to see push notifications to remind me of my tasks, the ability to add to my list from the web and the ability to compare my "Hero" with my friends.

Otherwise this is a neat little app and I love the concept, I really hope these guys implement some more features.

7 Deadly Sins Glasses: Gorgeous!

These glasses were made by artist Kacper Hamilton and are available for a limited supply. I know they must be deadly expensive, but I want a set badly!

Mmmmm cardiopulmonary arrest...

Red Velvet fried chicken. Seriously, this kind of sounds yucky, but the mashed potatoes sound like something I"m going to go home and try to cook.

Bill Murray: Hollywood horseman of the American Apocalypse?

I'm just going to let the quotes speak for themselves.  I will note, I received this with much hilarity, these are just the best parts:

..in the midst of our current cultural and economic crisis there is one danger that is subtler than the violence and drugs that is normal fare for major motion pictures these days. That danger is represented in the actor known as Bill Murray.
He is a weak man, a murderer of lambs, a despicable hedonist who waves the white flag welcoming the end of American moral and economic primacy
Bill Murray is a fatal disease and the sad news we bring you today is that your children have been infected.
Murray has explored every cranny of shamefulness. He never appears clean cut or sober, never moral or compassionate. He is a hollow man, a two-dimensional figure mirroring contemporary society’s addiction to half-hearted hedonism
The pattern is familiar to criminologists and it’s not hard to draw similarities to the lives of Jeffrey Dahlmer or John Wayne Gacy. Murray has not yet been charged with anything more than narcotic arrests and drunk driving, but at the very least parents should be deeply concerned. Is it not better to be safe than sorry when dealing with a man who may be the next national scandal for his bloodthirst and perversion? Would you not do everything in your power to protect your children from death and failure?

PSA: Dangers of high fives

I'm impressed with how much this is like some of the crappy PSAs that I've seen as a youth.  This one is quality!  You have to watch it.

Fun times from my last job.

I worked at a live video site, I'm sure anyone reading this blog knew about that already.  Anyhow, I wanted to post this mostly for posterity sake, but here are some moments from my last job that stick out the most! Special thanks to Adam Jackson, Swiftor, Witespy and Dylan.  You guys just rock.
